How Casey works
Casey is trained in the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and works from a systems-based approach. Instead of deciding who is right, she helps the two of you see the pattern you keep getting caught in, and practice a different way of reaching each other. The goal is simple: feeling like a team again.
Meet Casey
Casey Dorman is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a mom who loves helping couples and families navigate the transitions that come with parenting and family life. She went to college in upstate New York, moved to Colorado for the skiing and backpacking, and eventually made her way to Michigan. Her work is grounded in a systems-based approach, with a focus on helping people strengthen their relationships and feel more connected to one another. She is trained in the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

Is every session online?
Yes. Every session is by secure video, so you can meet from home. You both need to be in Michigan at the time of the session.
Do you take insurance?
Sessions are private pay: $175 for a couples session and $150 for an individual session. You know the cost before you book.
What if only one of us is ready?
That is common. An individual session at $150 is a good place to start, and your partner can join when they are ready.
What happens after I send the form?
Casey reads every request herself and gets back to you to set up your first session.
